The work included site construction associated with the FEMA Primary Entry Point (PEP) Expansion Program and incidental related work. The work was performed for KBR under the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) task order,
USACE Omaha District’s Security, Disaster, Infrastructure, Construction (SDIC) contract.
The demolition scope of work included selective demolition of existing 175KW generator, generator ancillary equipment (charger, day tank, etc), automatic transfer switch and generator breaker and 6000 gallon underground fuel storage tank.
The construction scope included earthwork, erosion and sediment control, clearing and grubbing, excavating, hauling, loading, unloading, dewatering, trenching, backfilling, soil treatment for termite control, cast in-place concrete footings and foundations, forms, reinforcing bars, finishing, gravel surface material, vaults, chain, CMU structures, miscellaneous fittings and hardware, structural steel pipe supports, architectural modifications, fuel oil system piping and controls, setting fuel oil system components, and electrical work including temporary power, grounding, electrical service, emergency power generator, fuel filtration system process control, lighting, and communications as necessary to provide a complete installation and fully operational system in full accordance with plans and specifications.
